How long does delisting take?

Delisting timelines vary significantly by blocklist and listing severity. There is no universal answer.

SpamCop listings typically clear within 24 to 48 hours after spam reports stop. The system is designed for rapid response to current spam flows.

Spamhaus SBL listings for first-time issues may be removable within days if you successfully navigate their delisting process. Repeat listings or severe cases take longer, sometimes weeks.

Spamhaus CSS (snowshoe spam list) and other specialized lists may have longer remediation periods, sometimes requiring sustained clean behavior for 30 days or more.

After delisting, DNS propagation adds additional delay. Even after removal, some servers may cache the old listing for hours.

Patience is required. Damage is done quickly, but trust rebuilds slowly.
