What is the difference between self-asserted and verified BIMI?

Self asserted BIMI does not use a VMC. Only some providers accept it.

Verified BIMI uses a VMC and is accepted by major providers such as Gmail.

Verified BIMI is the authenticated and certified version of the brand’s identity.
