What is malware filtering?

Malware filtering prevents harmful code from entering the inbox by scanning attachments, blocking dangerous file types, and sandboxing suspicious documents.

This sandboxing process is often called detonation, where the file is executed inside a sealed, isolated environment to observe whether it behaves like ransomware or attempts to call home.

It is the defensive net stretched across the harbor entrance, catching dangerous debris before it reaches civilian docks. Providers constantly update malware filters to respond to evolving attacks.
