Throttling, Greylisting & Shaping

The "slow down" and "wait" signals. When a provider doesn't trust you, they'll "throttle" (slow) your connection or greylist (temporarily reject) your mail. This is a test: spammers give up, while legitimate senders (ESPs) patiently retry.
